ELIZA COOK'S JOURNAL. A weekly family magazine which Eliza Cook published, edited & to which she was the main contributor. Self taught Eliza became a household name & was popular on both sides of the Atlantic. The magazine contains short & serialised stories, poems, book reviews, essays, paragraph & articles on current events, contemporary personalities & general interest.
2 volumes covering 4th May-26th April 1851. Vols 3/53-4/104 are both bound in publisher's green cloth a little worn. One has signs of damp staining on front paste down & the first end papers but internally all 3 volumes are in very good condition. £20.00
